whats up!only the second time i've shouted, but had to say DMB sucks. Certainly one of my all time least favorite bands. How can you even put Social D and DMB in the same sentence? (unless it's a "love/hate" thing)
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Yeah, they opened some SxDx shows on the WLWHWT tour. They also did a version of "Pretty In Pink" that often gets mislabeled as a Social D bootleg or unreleased cut.Originally posted by wark:

I'm going to shout until I can get this damn "junior" status removed. At least I assume thats how it works. But anyways I saw Flogging Mollys in Houston, and they rocked. They were a frigging ball of energy. And it's cool to hear something different.
ya flogging molly kicks a lot of ass.... what other bands do you like?
no houston doesn't have a very good scene. It's to political from what I've been told. A lot of bands steer away from Houston because I guess they're not welcomed with open arms, and it's not worth the hassle. Houston is a sports town. Although we get the ocassionaly suprisingly good band play a small venues, which is cool. But a while back Social Distortion came to Texas and I had to drive to Austin to see him. The Vans tour is normally our biggest and best big thing, but with that you get the bullshit also like Sum 41, Blink 182 etc.
about Automatic-Seven you can definately tell they were influenced by Social D.....but I liked they're stuff
?well maybe it was austin i was thinking of.
i know reverend horton heat came from texas and they kick major ass.
so you said your "stuck" in texas, why is that

2) If you actually knew anything, the correct stereotype to use is frat boy. Read an intelligent criticism of the band (they can be criticized intelligently, just not on this board - try a newspaper)and you'll see that everyone refers to them as drunk frat boys.
Yeah, Im off this board for a while. I'll be back when Ness gets off his ass. And don't give me any stupid excuses. Dave has 2 kids, runs his own record label and is still playing 2 set shows night after night. Yeah, thats right 2 sets. Meanwhile, Ness sits on his ass. When there be news of SxDx, I be back. Right now Im off to my DMB board like you suggested. There's actual news to discuss, intelligent people to discuss it, and everyone there isn't a homophobic, washed up loser with a chip on their shoulder.
